Take these back first
Nothing on the list yet. Add something you bought and I'll keep an eye on the last day to take it back.
What the windows are, and your rights
The quick-pick days are typical shop policies, not the law: a Salesforce review of 350 retailers put the average return window at 30 days in the US and 14 in Europe, and most UK shops sit at 28 to 30 days. Always use the number on your own receipt when you have it.
On top of any shop policy, the law gives you return rights that a short window can't take away:
- UK, faulty: the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives a 30-day short-term right to reject a faulty item for a full refund.
- UK and EU, bought online: you get at least 14 days to change your mind and cancel most online or distance orders, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (UK) and the Consumer Rights Directive (EU).
- US: there's no federal right to return, so change-of-mind and faulty returns follow the shop's own policy.
Recoup uses the longer of the shop's window and your legal right. It's a guide, not legal advice. Nothing you type leaves your device.
